Movie Meme May 27, 2007

I borrowed this meme from Teresa at Georgian Blues.  She also has another site that I thoroughly enjoy reading if I want to take a walk down 80’s memory lane,  called Spandex and Hairspray.

So here are the questions:

1. Name a movie that you have seen more than 10 times.
I honestly don’t think I have seen any movie more than 10 times.  But the one’s I have seen the most are probably:  “The Matrix”, “Never Been Kissed”, “Robin Hood: Prince of Theives”, “Star Wars”-any of the originals, “Return to Me”, “Ever After”, “Princess Bride”, “Monty Python’s The Holy Grail”, “Meet Joe Black”, “A River Runs Through It”, “Far and Away”, “What Dreams May Come”, “The Sixth Sense”, “Reality Bites”, “Edward Scissorhands”, “Benny and Joon” and “Stargate”.  I will probably be adding the “Harry Potter” movies and the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies, as I am working on those.

2. Name a movie that you’ve seen multiple times in the theater.
Never seen a movie more than once in a theater.  I refuse to pay those kind of prices to see a movie more than once. I wait for it to come out on video.

3. Name an actor that would make you more inclined to see a movie.
Anthony Hopkins or Sean Connery…O.k….I know Mr. Flipphead will bust me on it anyway–and  Keanu Reeves.  What can I say?  He’s easy on the eyes and he reminds me of the Mister (NOT Bill and Ted’s Keanu–but more like The Matrix or Point Break Keanu.)

4. Name an actor that would make you less likely to see a movie.
Tom Cruise-What a psycho!
(I’d like to take him, put him in labor for five days, then put him through contractions so strong they are literally off the charts and make sure he never fully dilates, then tell him he has to have an emergency c-section, but wait—you can’t have an epidural or any other pain meds!  What a moron!)

5. Name a movie that you can and do quote from.
Princess Bride and Monty Python’s The Holy Grail…Umm….and The Matrix.

6. Name a movie musical that you know all of the lyrics to all of the songs.
Does The Lion King count?

7. Name a movie that you have been known to sing along with.
Reality Bites

8. Name a movie that you would recommend everyone see.
Schindler’s List

9. Name a movie that you own.
See # 1

10. Name an actor that launched his/her entertainment career in another medium but who has surprised you with his/her acting chops.
Will Smith-I gotta agree with Teresa on this one.  I never would have believed it.

11. Have you ever seen a movie in a drive-in? If so, what?
Pirates of the Caribbean 3–Last night-I also saw the beginning of Wild Hogs–but we left after it became aparent that it was a terrible movie.  Who knew?

12. Ever made out in a movie?
Umm…once–at a drive-in–NOT last night.  In college.

13. Name a movie that you keep meaning to see but just haven’t yet gotten around to it.
Malcom X

14. Ever walked out of a movie?

Robo Cop and Wild Hogs

So that’s it.  If you are interested in Teresa’s answers–the link to her blog is up above and in my blog roll.

Cheers!

I’m with you, I’d least likely see a movie with Tom Cruise…sanctimonious. We said, “lets ship him our son for two weeks and see what he says then!”

Or he could have had two colicky babies like me…….wonder how many he would have then!

2. Mrs Flipphead - June 1, 2007

No kidding! I didn’t even think about what he would do with a colicky baby. One was enough for me. You poor thing–two! I think I might have wound up in the looney bin. I barely made it out with my sanity with only one.

Wild Hogs was that bad, eh. Thanks for sparing me the $8 ticket.

I’m going to do this meme, cuz’ it seems rather fun. But, I just don’t know exactly when I’ll get around to it. I’ve been kinda lazy with the blogging lately.

Anthony Hopkins

Man i love reading your blog, interesting posts !

5. Mrs Flipphead - December 15, 2007

Anthony Hopkins-I de-spammed your comment, because there seems to be an actual blog of sorts attached to your link. I’m still not convinced you’re not one of those post stealing blogs or some other sort of autoblog. If you are an actual person, let me know by sending an email to mrs.flippheadAThotmail.com. Of course, you know to replace the AT with @.
